yesterday when i was putting the boat on the trailer, at bob's in bayou black, a guy had walked over and was talking about my rig. he said a guy that lives next to his brother in law in pierre part, has a mbsd frame that he had put a motor on from a old slug bug. he said its air cooled and he said it runs about 47mph. I was just wondering if anyone knows this guy and if there are any pics around of this thing. it's definatly a lil food for thought. |

Hadn't heard of it or seen it. I am in Thibodaux, but pass thru Assumption Parish all the time. My boat builder is in Pierre Part, and I'm hoping to see him soon. If I see or hear about it I will try to get details and relay it. Seem like that would be too heavy unless its is on one mega-duty type boat build. That has got to be some serious HP. The VW's I'm thinking of usually go on small airboats. Not that it matters, but did you get a name? |

47?????????? I think the guy that built one from this site was only getting in the 20s. |
