Ok yall I just got a used 1644 GD boat with a 27 hp GD longtail with about 140 hours on it. My question is what do yall recommend doing as far as servicing a newly purchased used longtail. What are some things that I should be looking for? I've never run a longtail before only surface drive type motors so any advice there would be greatly appreciated as well? |

Do normal maintenance. Change oil and probably the fuel filter and you should be good to go if the engine runs good as is. |

Bout 2 pumps o grease every 4 hours run time in her tail... One pump in her U joint every 50 hours or each season... Feed it good gas and oil... Run it hard and that's bout all ya gotta do... It's a Go Devil - it don' need no wrenchin' - just runnin'... |
