 need power just put some boshe platium 2 spark plug on motor and gained 300 rpm and was wondering if i put k and n air filter if i will gain some more power. i have 27 pd and dont want to spend alot on evt parts.

Re: need power Try a timing advance key - I went 7deg. on my old motor and it gained a little. Cost you about $5.

Re: need power With the k&n you will gain noticeable thottle responce and a little more horse power. your old plugs were probably dirty. The filter should be around 45 to 55 dollars and k&n does have a lifetime warranty. not a bad investment.

D Duck, what is a timing advance key? i guess I could get this at a small engine dealer. I also have a 27pd and could certainly use some more power without spending the money on the evt upgrades.

Re: need power River is just yankin' your chain on the synth. oil.
For the 27hp Kohler you can get timing keys from MWSC (Mid-West Super Cub). Call Jillian and he'll get ya fixed up. You will need a puller to get the flywheel off the crank.
