Post subject:  CDI vs Non-CDI

I am new to mud motors and this may sound like a dumb question but it is a serious one. What does CDI stand for and what is the difference of the CDI and the non-CDI motors? Advantages and disadvantages? Any info will help. Thanks in advance

Potted coils, lighter fly wheel, and the wiring holds up better in salt water

They also idle at lower Rpms.... A cdi can purr at 8-900 rpm.

U can replace the coils w high rev coils.. U r correct.

But this only needs to be done if u r on the current rev limiter of 4350 consistently
