Don't let them slip and they will last a very long time

Mine do not sit at an angle like that, they are square with the caliper.

The 3rd gen are pretty tight little to no slack or that's at least the 2013 model =-)

Reverse hasn't been used much and when it is used it's with a tight grip. Problem is the back side of the caliper is wearing just from the pad rattling around or something, not sure why. Only the back side is doing it.

Idk, I bought it two weeks ago.

Some of the Gen 2 calipers did that. Only way to stop it is putting a spring between the pads, pushing them apart. If you leave it like it is now, you'll be replacing that caliper soon.
The new caliper is different, the pads ride close to the disc, but not touching.

but the gen 3 pads last about 1/4 of the time the older gen 2 pads do

Can you buy pads at an auto store?

41 hrs on these pads is this normal inside one is wore out

Myn is the new style caliper too and my wore completely out at 45 hours and I know I hold myn tight enough

I have right at 80 hours on my motor and I don't have much left on my pads. Chris mine or worse than yours. I don't get it. i know of a few people that have 300-400 hours on theres and they've never been changed

The trick is to bleed the system every now and then!To bleed it correctly(I have found)you need to remove the caliper and rotate so bleeder is at very top so EVERY bit of air can get out!Make sure to place something between pads while doing it.If you get them bleed correct the fukers will not slip Works!

PS-Do not overfill Mastercylinder!That will also cause them to drag!

Hopefully soon the whole break pad system will be replaced!
