I know there has been lots of posts about the stator charging system on the MM's. I know the GT's don't start charging back into the battery until 2000 r's. Question: Is there a different aftermarket stator that will charge as soon as you start the motor? I do a lot of idling and such and it beats up a battery pretty bad. Comeback FE's! |

I do a lot of frogging and I have checked into that also, the only answer I got was that you need to run the engine for about 30 minutes. I was told that you can get a larger amp one but all takes about 2200 rpm to start charging. |

The new marine grade charge 20 amps at idle and 50 amps above 2000 rpms.... may be able to retrofit your engine depending on age of the motor. |

I was told by the mechanic for prodrive in franklin, LA that it was not possible to retrofit them with the new charging system. |
