If anyone have a extra prodrive fuel pump or one that they do not need anymore please let me know. I need one and really dont want to pay 60 dollars + shipping for it, to find that it really does not make a diffrence. Thank you- |

I have a 32 hp prodrive and found that putting a low pressure electric fuel pump between the fuel line bulb and motor helped considerably. Bought pump at local auto parts store and hooked into toggle switch to turn pump on when motor is running-the fuel pump on the vangaurd is only suppose to be efficeient out to 36 inches and 12 inch lift. you may want to put a regulator in line so not to overload needle seat in carb-I just watch my oil and so far no problem. |

if ur having the same problem as most of us have had with the 32/36 briggs doing the vaporlock thing, running good then lose rpms and stuff. forget all that extra electric fuel pump stuff. u don't need any of it. just leave the stock fuelpumpwhere it is. u bypass it and can use it if ever there is a emergency. get the 23 brigs vacume fuel pump setup and mount it on the side of the motor. it comes with a brushguard. ready to go. completely fixed my fuel problems. and has worked for over 500hrs on my 36pd. no problems. i got mine from prodrive. ask peck of kp. |
