I am supposed to be getting a pro drive next week from tennesse. Who can re jet it close to baton rouge for our elevation? It has a stage 3 kit on it so I want someone to get it running right. Also how much cash should this cost? |

You can do it yourself, very easy and takes 5 minutes. What size jet does the carb have in it? |

Whenever you get it look under the carb, there is a nut. Take the nut off and the main jet is there, can't miss it. Take the jet out and the number is stamped on it, the jet that's in there might be fine. Run it first and see what you get. |

Thanks I will. All the horror stories on the stage 3 got me nervous on using it. Im not hard on my stuff but dont want it to break at 50 hrs. I might sell it but for this duck season I will def use it. |

I wouldn't sell it, If it was me the first thing I would do is get a thicker head gasket or trade/sell the stage 3 heads in for some stock ones and shim the stock valve springs. your gonna want to try and get that compression down. 200 psi or below if possible. As for your jetting carb issue, Basin and Wilson just about covered it. the Mukuni's HSR 42mm are sweet setups and real user friendly. |

Here's the tuning manual- very simple to tune. You access the main jet through the 17mm bolt in the bottom of the fuel bowl. BoatDr sets them up with 165 main jets in the 42MM carbs. http://www.mikuni.com/pdf/hsr_tuningmanual_021003.pdf |
