What octane gas should I be running with my stock motor? I see some people running 93 octane... I've been running regular unleaded in mine the whole time. Will changing the octane give me more performance?

On stock motors some have backfire issues (mine did) 93 squared it away and I just run it that way.

I'm not having any back fire issues but I will start to put 93 in my tank from now on.

Thanks guys.

Only buy Chevron 93 octane from one of two trusted
stations - always burn any left over fuel in the truck
that is over two weeks old.... In all my boats, not just
the MM....

No performance gain - just a reliability gain...
