I ain't bery smart 'bout all the mechanics operations of these MudMotorMachineThangs ...... but .....

Mines GTR35 gots to runnin' like crap 'bout the last week of the first split .... I mean ..... rruunn .. bumm .. bumm .. rruunn .. bumm .. bumm .. Pop .. bumm .. Pop .. rrunn .. Pop ... and so forth. I changed the fuel filter and it gots me out there two mo times and started that again !!!

I have now fixed the problem and thot I would post it rite here in the Engine Fourm and see ifin' ya'lls can figure what it was !!!!!

One mo hint .... the mo fuel you gave it .. the worse it got ... ideled just fine !!!!

Brooks, bad fuel? Did you notice any improvement after swapping fuel filter? They can get clogged up if you got a batch of bad gas. Start simple first.

You could have one of the wires chafed where the tilt / trim start & forward switches are. I got one of my wires pinched in there and noticed mine had worn down to the bare wire was grounding out causing the motor to miss. You can check those easy buy removing 2 bolts and nuts.

1. add seafoam or empty tank out and clean
2. check fuel connections
3. check spark plugs
4. check spark plug wires
5. tear carb apart and clean it.

Check Fuel pump, filter getting fuel? Could also be a quick disconnect on the tank if ya have one..............Check plugs......Good Luck

Bad spark plug (fouled) or bad spark plug wire arcing to the cover it is ignition related. :mrgreen:

glad to help you may also put a little liquid electric tape on the boots bought at any auto parts stores on it for the time being is also helps on new boots cause it keeps the sunlight off of them which they dryrot from ultra violet light.
