Post Oil dripping from air filter on Mikuni carb
I replaced the factory briggs vent hose that connected to the mikuni carb from the crankcase vent with a breather filter from autozone. About 5 minutes into running it across the lake I had white smoke coming from the filter and had oil running out the bottom of the filter and down the side of my motor. What could cause this? Bad head gasket, bad valve seals, and I dont think bad rings because it doesnt burn any oil from the exhaust, the oil gets darker quicker now but never gets low. I am hopefully ordering boat dr. heads soon and will this fix the problem? Thanks in advance for any reply

Case pressure is probably too high- I expect your dip stick is sticking out a little too. Causes are blown head gasket or ring blow by. Do a compression/leakdown to confirm.

Opened up one yesterday that had oil going out the breather tube to the carb and found this:
