Went to check out everything on the PD this evening before making the drive to SETX in the morning, trim switch went out. Anybody going to SETX or at SETX can put their hands on a 4 pin, powered rocker switch and dust boot?

If not, I'm going to be looking at pictures and videos from the house.

Never had to look for one of those. Where would you normally buy one?

There is a place in Nederland that is an authorized repair shop for gator tail. Not sure if they would have one or not?

West marine or local marine store will have it.

There is a west marine in Beaumont. Also a couple small local shops in BC. Burtons boat works and another off 105 that works on tohatsu. Can't think of the name right now. KNA Marine I think.

Think any of these places will have this and the bigger question...will they be open in the morning?

KNA will be open and pretty sure west marine would be too. Beaumont has several marine shops. One that sells go devil as well. The place in Nederland that works on gator tails is open and it's called County Home and Ranch

Blu, it may not be an option but I've found that if you take em apart they can often be repaired. There are four little springs under the contact barson the rocker side and if they go flying to hades a spring from an ink pen cut up works better anyway. It all depends how badly its burnt up though. There are two little phillips that hold em together, scrape the goop off in the middle on each end of the plug side. The modded ones last a looooong time!

I tried to DIY repair the last one....

Key word, there.....tried....I haven't tried anything with this one, yet. I'll go give it a look-see.

I've been looking all over West Marine's website and not coming up with anything that looks like this.

Would it be worth it for you to go to Prodrive in the morning for a replacement?

It's installed and I'm hitting. The road!

I am a little nervous about this switch....it is originally from Gatortail.

I don't know if I'm going to pick up 3 mph or if I'm going to get stuck. [FLUSHED FACE]

Troy, do you have the new 2 wire motors or the older 3 wire mercury trim pumps? Depending on what you have, I would highly suggest installing solenoids. My 07' was eating switches. Installed the solenoids and now I can use any 20a waterproof switch from any hardware store. All the juice is taken through the solenoids. Those are basically winch switches, I ditched mine a long time ago. Hell I even have 2 spares in my box for "just in case" situations.

No he means solenoids. Like you'd use on a starter, or winch, or many other things. Work like a relay just a beefier spring and housing. Used in higher amperage applications.
