Post Carb rain shield
I had seen it on here before. I tried the search feature but did not locate the one I was looking for. I saw one made out of a 1 gallon plastic jug. Did it melt? Did it work?

That was the one. I rigged one up on my GTR, but the MM muffler will probably melt it down in 2 miles.

I just happened to see this thread just now. Mine is still holding up good. Hasn't melted or anything and I wound up hunting several days in the rain and it keeps the filter dry. I've had 2 or three people ask me about it also I should of put a patent on that damn thing

Lol....

It transmits alot of vibration through the carb and to the boot/intake. I hope it does cause the boot to tear prematurely or pull the carb loose.
