Hello everyone, I been reading the forum for a while now and have a Question.
Does any one know the idle speed on a Briggs 35hp. I just purchased the engine last week and to me it seems like it is idled down to low. What's happening is when I let the handle go to the floor while running crawfish traps and begin to lower the prop back into the water its kills. Any suggestions to what may be causing this?

Right now the idle speed is around 400 Rpm's.

That's way to low. Idle should be at least 1100 otw on stock motor
