I was just curious, Has anyone ever done a custom exhaust on their mud motor? Custom meaning they built the entire thing. I bet there are some crazy ideas, like a stack lol |

Yep, loud as hell!!!! Went rite back to can muffler. It did rev quicker but seemed to lose a little low end. Im sure a H pipe or cross over would have helped that but was annoying loud. |

I like that design. I bet it is loud lol. Reminds me back on my first truck, shortest glass pack on the shortest pipe . I still think to this day how did I go anywhere in that truck. |

I always build my own. But I keep it simple and build it similar to the stocker. |

What do you use for the muffler tube? Just a stock one and you design the rest? , or do you build the muffler tube itself too? |

Yes, no baffles. Headers and outlet pipes are 1.5" 16 ga SS tubing. Can buy all the 1.5" straight or mandrel bent from Columbia River mandrel. The Main tube (4" sch 10) I got as scrap from my work. But you can buy all that online as well. Then you'll just need the exhaust flanges, or cut the ones off the stocker and reuse. |

Will C-supposed to be "custom" exhaust. Auto complete got me on that one. Brycecheramie- got the kit from Robertson's today tubes. Wanted long pipes without running the length of my motor. |

It runs much better than stock muffler. After jetting carb I picked up a few hundreds rpm up top and very noticeable amount of torque down low. I went from 98 main jets to 105's to get it dialed in. I got idea here after reading about tuned exhaust. I always worried about burning exhaust valves with gutted stock muffler. |

Don't know never tried it to find out. I've always heard running a 4 stroke without a manifold or with just a short header flange will burn exhaust valves. |

Yep! It's no longer on there, that was a picture from last year. It came with a super trap type muffler and I didn't want it all hanging on the heads without support. |
