Debating buying a Copperhead 23 here pretty soon and I'm having a hard time finding any quality reviews of this engine. Most people automatically tell the poster that they should forget the small block and try and get a larger engine. If any owners or prior owners of a copperhead 23 could give me some feedback about the engine and their direct experience with it I would appreciate it. |

I can't offer any input but I plan to get one as well as my boat is only rated for 25hp... |

I routinely hunt the same area as a guy who has a 23 Copperhead. He has it on a Go Devil boat. I know that with 2 guys, a dog, and hunt gear - he would out run me last year, and I was moving about 20/21. I also know that same fucker sunk his boat in the refugee as I was following him. I gave him my bilge pump and asked him to leave it at a certain spot. Gave him my business card too. Never called me, never got my pump back. Maybe he's on here reading this. He always claimed to like the motor though. |

Good light weight frames and good people. If i were to do it again i would look harder at mudbuddy 23 mini because of the neutral option. It may also have a quicker trim system but im not sure. People say the copperheads are faster and they certainly have good customer service from my experience. |
