Can someone verify that a 2003 GoDevil VanGuard Longtail has a solenoid on the carb? I think this is why it wasn't starting for me the other day...

It's at the shop getting a leak down test but I'd like to have a game plan for getting it running again when I get it back.

does it have a wire going into the bottom of the bowl on the carb?

Yeah I know that will be the give away but it's at the shop. Just anxiously brainstorming and hoping that it does.

I don't believe they have one on your motor, but I could be wrong.
I searched google a bit

Not thinking it does either... Back to the drawing board. Has spark and the pump appears to be pumping fuel. Valves adjusted as well

Clogged jets In the carb?
It normally doesn't take much for these motors to run.
Air, Spark, and fuel.

Has the motor been sitting up a while?
Bad fuel?

Sat for maybe 2-3 weeks fuel isn't too old and has had sea foam in it. Cap was tight so shouldn't have water in it.

Just doing a leak down. It has fresh plugs, oil, and filters. Cleaned the carb a month or two ago but maybe need to do it again.

Can a throttle cable adjustment or governor adjustment cause this?

I wouldn't think so,
As long as you put it together the same way you took it apart!

This week i had one that wouldnt start. I held pressure on the bulb and bounced motor up and down. I felt the bulb squeeze when the float fell down from its stuck position, fired right up

Hope your leakdown is good. For clay, i just weld up the low spots then true them back up with a 36 grit. :D

No worries, they don't need to be true. Briggs sure don't think so, anyway.
