Gutting stock exhaust
I'm gutting my stock exhaust on my 25efi Kohler on my Prodrive .. Trying to decide if just gonna weld the cap back on with the factory filter side outlet or make it with one or two outlets going ott the back instead . Anything opinions ?? Either way better then other and with size pipe should I use for the outlet or outlets if I decide to put them going out the back ?

Re: Gutting stock exhaust
does it exit out the end? If it exits on the side opposite where you sit I'd do a larger opening in the stock location. If it exits on your side, I'd make it come out the center with one larger outlet.
Is that an O2 bung? I'd take that into consideration as well if so.

Re: Gutting stock exhaust
About a 2" outlet in the center of the can shooting back is what I would do.

Re: Gutting stock exhaust
Did some searching and found many posts about gutting stock exhausts.
I cut mine right down the middle and welded it back up then welded the caps back on.
I removed ALL of the welds with a grinding wheel.
Should have done this a long time ago and stayed with the something I can repair on my own.
Anyone recommend any kind of paint to paint these things? BBQ paint hold up?

Re: Gutting stock exhaust
I went through this a couple years ago, I don’t think anything will stay on it permanently. Someone suggested coating it with WD40 after every trip.
