Ok, so I leave home at 3:30 to hunt a nuc plant, get a shitty draw, put the boat in and start to head to my stake and motor starts running like a piece of wet shit. Backfireing, dieing, won't run under load at all. One of the guys in the boat notices spark jumping through spark plug wire to block. I ***** rigged it with black tape changed plugs and still running like crap. I limped home after the hunt going half the speed of smell against a 25mph head wind and put it on the trailer. At least it was a sweltering 19 degrees!
Now for the question:
To replace the bad wire do I have to order a whole new coil and wire? Any other ideas why one cylinder would drop? I'm about one repair away from going back to an outboard and jackplate
Oh, I have a 36 PD with EVT stage one mods.
