I went ride my boat and if was kinda acting up and would take a while to start when it would die, and it would wanna die when it was ideling even though the idel is set at 1000, then I had went hunting one weekend, and it was doing the same thing and when I got back the launch, it shut off and was sputtering when I was trying to start it, when I got back and reset the valve lash thinking that was it, then I went ride yesterday, and it was doing the same exact thing, and wouldn't start when I got back to the launch, and it was sputtering and all, think somehow I'm getting too much fuel or the valves still aren't set right ?

You could have trash in your carb, a bad connection in your fuel line, water in your gas. What did you check other than the valves? What makes you think it's getting to much fuel?

How old is ur fuel? Like lastchance said might be water in ur gas. Has happened to me more than once.
