Buddy of mine has a 27hp that wot in water wont go over 3200 rpm trimmed up out of water it will turn 3500 rpm. Just re did the headgaskets, coils,plugs flywheel, new muffler and stator. Boat is a prodrive 1848. Any help is appreciated Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

How does that motor push your 1848? I have it on a smaller boat, and have a hard time getting it to 15mph with 2 guys, dog and gear. Skinny water it'll do 19-20, but deep stuff it falls on its face. thanks Dennis |

I have been having comparable issues after the coil diode went out and I simply wired past it. Now I’m at 3200 under load and 4400 or so out of water. Running on a 1648 gatortail hull Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
