Can anyone tell me what this is? I found it near the rockers when I was checking my valve lash (1st time since getting Iron Mountain heads 3 or 4 years ago). I'm 95% sure that it didn't fall in after the fact, but it's not out of the realm of possibility. I did have to stop and cover up my engine to go run errands a few times before I eventually saw it. It's small, round, reddish, plastic like and seems to be threaded on the inside. Any ideas where it came from? Thanks |

It's more like a hard plastic. What throws me off is the threads on the inside. |

If it's valve stem seal and prob is, checheck bottom of your rockers for marks where pushrods jumped out of place.this will smash the seals. I've seen this a few times. If it has I would recommend installing new pink springs with shims |
