Called GD but they are out for holidays so thought I'd ask here. Looked at the manual but nothing there wrt replacing it The main steering/pivot bushing is worn out. It's between the steering plates with a big bolt thru it. Anyone ever change that out? Looks like you would attach the engine to a hoist, unbolt it and lift the engine and insert a new bushing, though not sure how that gets inserted. Appreciate any info. Thanks, LT |

Talked to Warren at GD. Said to replace the bolt which will take care of about 50-60% of the slop. Seems to have done the trick. |

When the holes get real sloppy you can weld large washers the size of your bolt to the flapplate and frame. Then use a little longer bolt. Makes it goodntight |

its a 2005 I believe. Yea, Warren mentioned about welding on some pieces. Changing the bolt helped a lot. I was thinking of looking for a metric bolt that was a bit larger than 2/4 but it's good for now. |
