So awhile back I changed my stator and after a little while something happend behind the flywheel and cut my wires. Well my engine was running fine before I decided to take the flywheel back off to fix the stator problem, so I did what I had to do and fixed the wires and whatnot, and I put the flywheel on just like before, gapped my coils with a business card and now I wouldn't start back up. Blowing smoke out the carb and jerking the flywheel when it goes to crank. So I thought it was something with the carb and my minkui carb was coming in anyway so I just took it off, and I installed my minkui today and same thing. Jerking the flywheel, blowing smoke out the carb, running very rough and only for about 15 seconds then dying, really confused here

Maybe timing is off on the flywheel somehow

Right, check your keyway. If you have a timing key, may be broken. Your flywheel isn't line up correctly.

Your timing key has probably sheared.

That's what happen, key sheared. Guess I didn't torque it enough, will torque to Briggs specs.

Well my GT 2 blade is still in pretty good condition but before next season, I'm gonna pick up the delta mercury 3 blade, might leave it how it is or get an extra cup in it
