I have a 1754 and realized it fills up quick with 3 guys and hunting gear, I am considering a bigger boat. Would a 2070 Lowe roughneck be too much boat for a 35hp gdsd?? I believe these hulls are around 1050 lbs.

Thanks

That's a lot of boat for any single motor. It would probably push it, but don't get in a hurry. I bet a 2060 GD hull would fit the bill nicely. You can't beat the results and performance of a "matched" boat and motor.

Might even call GD and inquire about a tapered chine 2066. They build things that aren't advertised on their site.

It would work, but your expectations on speed and planing ability shouldn't be very high. Figure 24 or so solo or with another person, things will start to go downhill from there just due to engine power.
