I plan on ordering my first mudmotor and a new boat within the next couple months and I have decided to get a 1752 extreme gtb with a 35 gtr. I want to have a good throtle response and a good out the hole performance. I was planning on putting a bps carb and a MM exhust will that give me what I want or do I need to look at other options?
Ive already talked with a few other people and would like to hear what everyone else thinks. This being my first mud rig Im trying to as much research as possible before getting it. Thanks in advance for any help.

what u need to do is go demo whatever rigs u want to buy.

houma has a prodrive, gatortail, godevil, and maybe even a mb dealer.

demos are free, just cause sumone might talk all kinda crap about their favorite brand doesn't mean anything, u need to go get the one that works for u.

good luck

I've been doing a bunch of research on it all and I've ridden in a few of the different boats and motors on the market. I decided that gator tail best fits what I'm looking for in a new rig. I mainly just curious about what mods I can do without drasticly reducing my engines life. I'd like to stay out of the internals of the engine and I was wondering if I could achieve soom better response and more low end power without tearing it apart.

Don't get me wrong I ain't knocking any other brands I just find that gator tail best fits me.

Thanks for all the advice I will definitly get with Hoyt when I finally get to go and order my new boat.

Get a CDI motor and add heads and exhaust.

If you need more, then add the mikuni.

cool, sounds like u got it narrowed down, best of luck with the new rig.

me personally, i can't have a modded motor, i use mine too much to void the warrantee and always be wrenching on it. been there done that.

like everybody else says, heads, carb, muffler will definately helpout and keep u busy working on it.

there is a reason they don't come like that stock, the motors can't handle it long term. a cuple hundred hrs if ur lucky.

ok, off the soapbox. lol

i like me sum modded motors as well, i just want u to know what ur getting into.
