Newbie Question: mud motor BRAND ???

 Newbie Question: mud motor BRAND ??? I am a newbie with mud motors. I'm pricing out a new 1648 OPEN Prodigy mud boat.
They recommend a GTR25 TALL ($7,150).
My usage will be TX coastal marsh, rivers, bayous. 25 hp is my max. so I am legal to hunt in
the wildlife reservations here.
My questions is general & open : is this the best brand motor or would another brand be
more desirable. price is not the deciding factor. Just trying to learn

Re: Newbie Question: mud motor BRAND ??? It's all about personal preference. You would be best off finding some locals in your area to let you test drive different motors to see which you like.
