Stock 35, or delta mods new purchase
So I know it's been hashed a bit, and then re-hashed some more, but I just want some clear and consise opinions about whether or not I should get a stock 35 GTR or buy a new modded delta 35 gtr. With the stock setup from gatortail I get a three year warranty, and with a stage 1 or 2 from delta I get a 1 year warranty. My only question, is in your guys' opinions, is the longevity there for The delta builds? I have seen some of you with 37 builds from them that have nothing but good things to say, but I am just worried that once that motor goes out of warranty in a year, if I still owe some money on it I'd be really sad if I had a 10k hotrod mud motor that no longer worked. It's going on an 1840 flat bottom so the 35 would definitely push that boat, but I kind of want a rocket.

If you're not confident in working on it yourself then don't go with the modded engine. Get the stock 37.

That's not a horse in this race, I've owned a 2015 gtr 37, and the efi still just makes me worried, so I'm going to go carb this time around. That being said I'm more than happy to wrench on lawnmower engines, but my question is what kind of longevity is to be expected out of these delta builds, or modded 35 vanguards in general? Or should I just go the stock 35 route

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69529 I'd go stock until you have 50 hrs or more, then mod the engine after the warranty is up. That's just what id do.

Have about 60 hours on my Delta mods with no issues.
