i tried to search for this answer before i posted this but didn't come up with much. so forgive this simple question but

anyone use lucas oil additive or any other kind of additives in there motors ? i have a 2005 PRO DRIVE 27 hp Kohler and about to change the oil. just thought i could get a little input from you gents. thank you

I asked the same question on here about a year or 2 ago, and the general consensus was not many people if any did because it simply wasn't necessary. We do however, use it in our camps diesel generator and haven't seen any negative results from it, I'm the type that figured any little extra thing I can do to help is worth it!

I use primrose 480-M in all my motors, some do some don't it's your preference.

A good synthetic oil should be plenty good. Shell Rotella T6 5w-40 ought to cover all bases. Makes for easier starting on cool mornings too. I've been running it in all my air cooled engines for years.

Don't make it weird.

Don't mind him. He, I, bryce and a couple others are just the resident assholes. We have a couple resident mongoloids, but they aren't as frequent as they used to be.

I run some lucas in mine. sometimes I put stp in it too. I have a bad knock and it helps me not hear it so bad. stops up some of the oil leaks too. hit 4000 hours on the motor today chewing up floton/lilies.

if it makes u feel good, run some.
