Boss Drive? Does it actually exist?
I have seen their adds, visited their web page, but have never seen one of the motors actually on a boat. Do they actually exist? Has anyone on here ever seen one in operation? Is this just a concept?
I am still doing much thought about what to put on the back of my 18x54 Uncle J. I should have it by the end of May.

Re: BOSS Drive? Does it actually exist?
Assume you mean the 35 and 37hp briggs Boss Drive, and not the 75hp GM motor HOSS Drive.... Yes the do exist.
I've seen them in action. The perform well in the slop.
Mixed reviews from end users, but have heard they have great customer service.
The gears have unmistakable sound....
I like the way they shift... Seems heavy. Haven't seen a "Fast one" yet.

Re: Boss Drive? Does it actually exist?
Something just seems odd to me. I went to the MMT reviews section, and I have yet to see anyone do a review of their boat with a Boss Drive on it (perhaps I missed it).
I routinely look at the boats and motors for sale on MMT, and have never seen anyone selling a Boss Drive.

I don't think there are very many out there yet...
I see them few and far between.
SETX mud this year I might have seen 3 or 4 out of the 100+ plus boats. And they are made only a few hours away.

I've got an Uncle J 19x54 3/16th bottom, 35 GTR w/BPS heads, mikuni carb, BPS Q--- 27-30 mph bump some 31+, btw it well go faster in the mud, Hammer prop, better for the mud, Signature 12.25x12 does well also haven't had it in the mud but it accelerates better than the hammer, had a BB but it broke pretty quick. Don't think you can go wrong with any of the common surface drives.

The GT 37 and MB HDR are at the top of my list.
