I did a search on this, came up with an old thread from 2010. Member named drake1 said they put 33mm mikunis on kohlers, worked great. He no longer is on the forum, last post was 2015.
I am looking for someone who has info on adaptors to manifold, and any other info they can lend. I am no stranger to v twins, spent decades working and riding harleys, familiar with mikunis for them and jetting. Anybody got a direction to point me?
Thanks in advance. Dennis

They made an adapter that fit the two barrel kohler intake. Nobody makes the adapters anymore.

I thought it did but didnt remember for sure. If thats the case, the intake adapter for the briggs would fit. Maybe could use some putty or something to smooth out the difference in carb size so theres no turbulence.

Its not a dual throat manifold or carb. Single barrell. Bore looks like 22mm, outside bore is 38mm.
I'm thinking a 33 or 34 mm would be the right step. Another thought, without stock carb in place, no governor, so no max RPM. Does anyone know if the CDI has built in rev limiter?carb.JPG

You should talk your buddy into dumping the kohler and slapping a big block on that frame. His money will go much further that way, and the end result will be much better. I've been down this road before.
