I've installed a cam, and a few stage 1s on carb motors over the years. Been outta the game for a bit... Looking to order heads, exhaust and a controller. It's my first efi motor... Would like to try some custom heads instead of IM this go around... so how do I go about getting a controller? Is it just like installing a tune on a truck, meaning plugnplay? Who all is offering kits for this other than bps? Thanks |

Ive talked to delta about them just sending me the parts and doing it myself. They'll do it and send you everything you need including break in oil. I THINK for around $1600 is what they told me...for the level 3 (stage 2 equivalent). Might want to double check that though its been alittle bit since i called and asked. |

The controller is just a bypass that tells the ecu more fuel. Once installed it stays. Delta and Franklin's are offering tuned ecus now so you don't need the controller. Hit up Nick Peltier Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk |

Jacking this thread. I'm just getting into the efi game as well, what is involved in tuning a motor yourself? Do you have to have a air/fuel sensor or a computer to plug it into? Are there different levels of controllers for more fuel or is it just one self mapping controller? |

Fuel controllers work by piggybacking with your injectors and installing a ground wire. Then make fuel corrections. Basically you are altering the stock maps by adding a percentage of fuel more than the stock map to compensate. It is BEST to have an AFR meter to dual in the proper ratio to keep the best state of tune on the motor. |
