Post subject:  Reputable Mechanic....

I've been readcing the posts here for a while, but never really posted. I currently run a twin 23GDLT and a single 23GDLT on two different boats. Last year, I ended up replacing both motors on my twin for several reasons. The new motors run fine, but I am having some pretty serious issues with the idle and WOT settings. I can get them to run close, but can never seem to get them lined up right. Every time they get to where they need to be, I take the boat out and by the time I've run 20 minutes, the idle is off again. A local shop jacked with the governor one day trying to set the idle and it has never been right since. I took it to a different shop and they messed with it some, but could never get it correct. I'm located in the North Houston area and if anyone knows of a GOOD shop that IS familiar with the 23hp Vanguard motors, I would appreciate knowing who it is. Both shops claimed to be knowlegeable and were listed on Briggs site, but neither had a clue what they were doing.

Thanks!

I'm running completely stock motors. Still have 1+ year left on the warranties and don't want to take a chance. Don't plan to do anything to the motors anyhow cause they are too dang expensive to replace and/or repair.
