 Bigger intake valves?
Has anyone ran bigger intake valves? I'm looking to make some more power. I am currently running a .045 deck port & polished .308 Peltier cam mikuni and stock gutted. I don't want to change my rocker assemblies.

 Re: Bigger intake valves?
Most head suppliers use bigger intake valves. Even the 37efi uses an intake valve thats bigger than the carb motor

 Re: Bigger intake valves?
I truly believe that's why e get so much torque from the kawi, we have 2 intake valves per head for a 6 valve arrangement. Its just finding the right cam and other shit to get the maximum power.

 Re: Bigger intake valves?
You want the approx 80% ratio difference from intake Diameter to exhaust. Really the stock exhaust is big for these motors already. A larger intake valve will work well. Here is the tricky part you can just put a larger intake valve without LOTS of seat work. A larger valve in the same seat dimensions will just hinder flow because it will shroud the seat that much more. You sink that valve in the seat and open it up to meet the valve seat/throat ratio then you have to trim stem length to keep the geometry in spec.. There is a lot more to it than just putting a larger valve...

 Re: Bigger intake valves?
Rollers aren't the issue. Its lack of seat pressure for aggressive cams along with SHITTY castings.
