Blown piston...should I put on new motor?
Well I blew a piston in my 2004, 27 hp Kohler motor on my Prodrive. What are my options? I really am interested in putting on a new 37 hp engine with my lower unit...is this something that is possible? Has anyone done this type of thing before? What motor will line up if there is one? Thanks folks!

Re: Blown piston...should I put on new motor?
The Kawa FX1000V is the best option, but a Briggs 37 will work too if you want to be closer to the norm. If you decide to do either swap, there are quite a few threads on this forum discussing them. Do some searching. Most of the guys that have done the kawa don't come on here much, but the important info is floating around, just need to find the threads.
