I would check dimensions of the Kohler against the Briggs, like the output shaft height from frame base to OP shaft center, and OP shafts diameter and length. Also Kohlers hole spacing at its base to MB frame. and belt housing holes where it bolts to Crank cover. Briggs maybe different. Probably check clutch bearing for inside diameter and gear tooth count. Might be able to look up some of these dimensions before removing motor. Save having some unexpected surprises.
