Wanting to be able to get on plane with around 850 lbs. Motor is still under warranty so don’t want to void that. What kind of difference will I️ see with a voodoo baffled and k&n? Also I still have stock 3 blade also thinking of changing that. GTR 37efi bone stock on 17x54 excel F4 |

An exhaust will help some, BUT what your asking of an exhaust only you wont see much difference with a load. A muffler wont void the warranty so that's a plus. Not sure how heavy your hull is, But 850 pounds is a hefty load to ask a stock motor to push. Your total hull probably weighs close to that. |

Talked with voodoo and was told that according to Dyno it’s a 4hp gain with baffled. Any prop suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ive seen the 4hp gain referenced a couple times with different pipes. I find this real hard to believe on a stock engine. But maybe I'm wrong |

I wish they would film the dyno and post it to their FB pages. 4HP is steep on a stock |

Fastest prop and fastest prop with a load are 2 different animals. I've run a 3 blade merc and worked big blade. My worked big blade was 1mph slower on top, but noticeably faster out of the hole on both boats, which generally translates to better load carrying than an extra mph solo on top. The new Briggs that's in testing but hasn't been made available to us mere mortals will gain a lot from replacing the muffler with a better breathing one. The stock engine, I don't see it. It's too limited by the stock heads, stock carb, and cam profile. It's possible, but is that 4hp in a usable part of the power band? If it dynos 4hp at 4400 rpms, but can't spin the prop with the load, and only spins the 3900 you were spinning before, then you may be getting gains, but can't actually benefit from more than 1 or 2hp. Does that make it worth your money? Maybe. That's for you to decide. #CFFITR #TheGhostBoat #whoneedsphysicsihaveamudmotor |
