Post subject:  Can Mudmotors suitable for sea?

Hi,

i am from india and i am interested in buying a motor suitable for sea voyage. Can anybody suggests me a suitable engine for longtail application. Is it advisable to go diesel or gasoline? any particular reasons? i want 15hp single cylinder can weigh about 40kg. rpm should be 3600.

have anybody trying these petrol/ gasoline engines in sea? i am planning to deal engines for FRP boats made for sea fishing.

what will be the best continuous duty of petrol engine/ diesel engine? how long ? in hours..

can anybody guide me?

thanks in advance.

In Thailand they use longtails on the open ocean all the time. Best to take to them though.
