I would like to know of people's experience as well. Have multiple outboard boats. Have a 1540 Alumacraft I was looking to put a 23 Copperhead on. Know nothing about mud motors. Been an outboard guy all my life. Wanted to gain access to some hard to reach spots and wanted to try this out.

Like the weight (138 lbs) of this motor.

Thanks yall.

We have a 23 on a 1448 old rivet boat. It's truly a good setup. Fun, light and easy to run. My only surprise has been that the cost on parts of a lower rebuild can be higher than some big motors. Is it worth it? Hell yea

Will C,

Thanks for the feedback. Was curious how long you have had your copperhead and how many hours are on it. Based on your comments, I wanted to get an idea of how long things will last before I start needing to replace engine parts. I know a lot is based on care and where you are running. Just looking for a frame of reference since I am new to this environment and looking for any available information on the subject.

I was planning on using in mud [hydrilla] in riverbeds [trinity/colorado] and brackish and salt around galveston bay and anahuac.

Thanks.
