 08 Mud Buddy HD4000 Carb/exhaust Question
I put the mod kit on my hyper dirve 35 about 2 months ago first when I run wide open It makes a pop pop pop noise out the exhaust almost like popcrn being made. The thing is im getting almost 4250 rpms out of it I have put diffenet main jets in and adjusted the carb it still does it. Second even though Im getting those rpms I cant hardly get the boat on plain with more then just me in it. I appreciate any info and help. IM running the motor on a 1652 G3 with pods

 Re: 08 Mud Buddy HD4000 Carb/exhaust Question
Weight distrubution plays an important part, especially with pods. I had them on my old boat. They made my boat ride better but I had to watch where weight was placed. The extra floatation in the rear made my boat plow with just me in the boat, but with a second person it rode great.Maybe someone will help you out with the popping, i'm learning myself.
