Black Death mod question
Looking at modding my BD 4400 with delta cam, heads and push rods. I am new to surface drives and so far love it. I switch to a hammer prop which has been great but lost more rpm than I would like for me to hit 4200 the prop is dang near out the water and I’m running 26mph topped out. I’m running a 18x54 Hull. Hole shot and mid range response are great would like to get a better top end for longer runs and be able to push that prop better. Also curious if anyone has any other recommendations as I am new to this, such as changing gear ratio, carb jetting, or anything else I may not be considering. My other consideration is doing a block swap with an efi motor and dl3 mods. Thanks in advance for any info and recommendation
