So from what I’ve been reading in the threads so far, everyone says you need the 30hp intake manifold to put a Mikuni on the 25 Kohler. My question is does anyone have a part number, picture, etc?

You'd still need an intake adapter. The mikuni doesn't fit directly on that intake, that's just the intake the adapters were built for. As far as I know, nobody makes the adapters anymore.

You can look up the part number on any kohler parts portal. Or search for a two barrel kohler intake on ebay.

I have the two barrel intake and ordered an adapter for the mikuni flange from Zach Kerber. My next question is what to do about the governor. Does the electronic rev limiter work for my application?

Midwest Super Cub I think is the name of the place that used to deal with that stuff. I dunno if they still in bidness.

google lawn mower tractor pullers to maybe find a hopup parts place.

good luck.

CB what jets did you run in your flat side 33? Been digging all afternoon and can't find where anyone list what they use for the small mikuni.

BTW, I've seen your small block rants many times on all the kohler threads and believe me I'd love a big block but I live in SETX minutes from Anahauc, McFaddin, and Texas Point. All 3 are federal and have the 25hp restriction, so bear with me while I try to get a little more juice out of my slow-drive.

Man, I have no idea. You might try to pm the guy I sold it to. Believe his handle was bolling something, from the Michigan area, IIRC. He played with the small block for a long time and had a pretty decent runner. If you can get ahold of him, he could give you some good pointers.

And I know you don't want to hear it, but the 25 briggs is a big block. Much easier to get a bunch of hp out of, and would keep you under your hp restrictions.

If I were doing another kohler, I would bore it and put big ass flat tops in it.

If you wanna drive up here, I have a bunch of kohler stuff you can have and I still have a briggs block you could have cheap if you want somethin else to play with. Slap a 25 sticker on it...

For the time being I just want a little more out of my motor, it's more of a cheap experiment than anything. Got it from a guy down here for $600 and all it needed was a clutch and the fuse replaced. Hopefully by the time I'm in the market for another one there will be some good used GTR 25 BB for sale.
