Post subject:  Oil leak Black Death 4400 questions

I ordered a new gasket so I have the oil leak under control. My question is I just replaced the gasket maybe 20 hours ago after changing out cams to a delta cam. Is there something special when installing this gasket or is there potentially something else wrong causing it to fail so quickly. Question number two is in the pics attached, the plates behind the belt housing, what order and direction do they go in bc either way seems to block some threaded holes. Unfortunately between work and rainy evenings and a sick baby I’ve been out here working on it when I can and it’s been about a week process. Thanks in advance for the help

The design of the block and the bolt pattern is shit.

Teflon to belt housing, then large plate ,the two hole shim onblock, notches on bottom.they all leak but make sure to clean threads on bolt and holes then red loctite.case gasket delete helps alot.

Quit using case gaskets. That will prolong the oil leak. I machine internals and use Yamabond 4
Clean all bolt holes, bolts, and Loctite them in place.
