Post Lower unit question
Hi, I have a 2012 gatortail 35hp motor. I just got it last year so all this is kinda new to me.
I was greasing the lower unit and had what I think is a ton of water flush out.
Is this normal or do I have a seal problem?

You need to replace the seals on the propeller end!

Or just email me at marystandiford at Yahoo dot com

I'm basically being told that we didn't add enough grease to begin with, so water got in and it is normal??

Because yeah, a seal should be designed to leak. That doesnt compute. I dont doubt you were told that, but I would suggest replacing the seal, make sure its greased properly, and slap whoever told you the seal isnt designed to keep water out unless you add more grease. A little might make it past the seal after a while, but it shouldnt be enough to soak a paper towel.
