Sport V5000 missing at half throttle

 Sport V5000 missing at half throttleMotor seems to be idling fine and running fine at WOT. But at around 2k rpm it sputters like a coil is going out. Is this normal for a coil to act like this? I’m going to switch my tach to each spark plug lead and see if the coil is truly cutting out and which side. If one is bad I’m going to change both. Valves are right. Started doing it after motor sat unused for almost 2 years.

Re: Sport V5000 missing at half throttle sounds like a carb lean at the transition from the pilot to the needle. Or some Gunk in the emulsion tube where the needle rides..

This may help you understand what Maxxis is saying. It’s not exactly the same as a Mikini but pretty dang close and should illustrate it. 2000rpms is right at the transition point between idle and throttle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
