My starter has been in and out for a little while and finally shit the bed on me last night. I was looking at replacing with a stock briggs and its gonna be about $270. If in gonna spend that money i want to get the best option. I have heard of people using different starters on mud motors like GM or ford starters. Has anyone done it and what are the pros/cons? Not sure where you heard about the use of gm or Ford starters. This site has kind of been a haven for trying it all, never seen that pop up here. #CFFITR #TheGhostBoat #whoneedsphysicsihaveamudmotor |

See what an auto electric shop will charge you to rebuild your old one and shop ebay or amazon for a replacement starter. I found one for my 25 Kohler for a little over $50.00 |
