Motor seems to be idling fine and running fine at WOT. But at around 2k rpm it sputters like a coil is going out. Is this normal for a coil to act like this? I’m going to switch my tach to each spark plug lead and see if the coil is truly cutting out and which side. If one is bad I’m going to change both. Valves are right. Have u cleaned carb? A little green crust hiding in a jet maybe. Sure a coil is possible but less likely |

sounds like a carb lean at the transition from the pilot to the needle. Or some Gunk in the emulsion tube where the needle rides.. Also you do have an o ring on the AF mix screw? without one you will chase yourself in circles |
