Stock ‘05 35 mud buddy running at 3550 rpms
I recently bought a 05 mud buddy HD sport on 1854 f4. Knowing all the issues, I got a good deal. Motor has 200 hours. I’ve overlooked, repaired and inspected almost everything on motor and drive components but am only getting 3550 rpms according to the tiny tach. 38/50, belts at 16 lbs and valve lash at .005.
I’m 99% sure the floor is waterlogged. 2-250 lb guys and permanent blind it goes 17 mph.
What are some things to look at to get my rpms up, other than different gearing. It should be running at 4000 as it sits, correct?
