I’m new to the mud boat world and I’m looking to get my first boat, and I’m looking at a war eagle gladiator with a GTR 37EFI anyone have any insight on either the boat or the motor?

War eagle builds a good boat. Depends on your needs as to whether or not it's right for you. Elaborate some on that, maybe you'll get more useful advice.

Btw, the gtr has been discussed at length in all flavors on this site. The 35 with machines lower. The 35 with cast lower. 37 both ways. 45 tooth gear vs 48 tooth. Short vs tall transom. All 4 gen reverse systems. Electric vs hydraulic reverse. Reverse covers. Old style vs new style trim.
Start reading. Your brain could explode from all the information about the GTR, or the Prodrive, Mudbuddy, backwater longtail, godevils, etc. Seriously, there is a lot of good information, a good bit of junk, and plenty of misinformation from some guy's brother's aunt's third cousin's friend that had motor A and it ran 71 mph with 3 people and gear in the boat, but he couldn't show up to the mud ride and let everyone see it because he got in a fender bender or had to work.

Get a hull made for a surface drive. I had a 35gtr on a war eagle, was a horrible combo
