Very interesting. I don't know anyone who runs 15w50. I wonder if they just recently found out that that is better for the engines or something. I have a gdlt with over 2000 hours that I've always used 10w30 in with no issues. Who knows lol |

OMG, I have a 2012 gator tail and I have been using the not to use RED GREASE, since my first tube of Amsoil ran out and I couldn't find it anywhere except by ordering it and my lower unit is still running and not taking more grease than it should. Is gator tail racist against indians? |

I don't think anyone is implying that you should go throw all your Amsoil Z-Rod 10w-30 into a ditch. However, as I pointed out --- with the weekly "which oil is best" threads where everyone gets into a pissing match over which 10w-30 is best, I was surprised to see the GT recommendation. You can pour your sister's 55-gallon drum of KY into your ProDrive for all I care. WChauvin - you probably don't know anyone who runs 15w-50 because it's really not a common weight. |
